iPhone 4s

A few months ago, I broke down and purchased my first smart phone. I was constantly getting teased about my old phone, I told everyone that I didn't need all that fancy stuff on my phone. If I wanted to use the internet or play games I would do so on my laptop or ipod. I knew I would love an iPhone because I was never without my iPod touch. For Christmas my husband told me that if I would like one I could order the iPhone 4s. After much deliberation and research, I finally succumbed.

Never in a million years did I expect this phone to be so amazing. Tons of people prefer the Droid but I don't understand why! The iPhone 4s has a mind blowing built feature, Her name is Siri. Siri is a personal assistant, you access her with a push of a button. Cheerful she will do whatever you need, set a reminder, an alarm, send a text message, give you turn-by-turn directions, make your phone calls, and best of all she can answer almost any question. If Siri does not know the answer she will search the internet and find the answer for you.

A lot of people were complaining that the iPhone has an awful battery life, I have yet to see any problems. I use my iPhone throughout the whole day, for Blogging, Facebook, Twitter, E-mail, Music, Games, and tons more. It is pretty much indestructible, I have dropped mine several times and it is like brand new! The camera is amazing! You can take high def videos and pictures and even edit them right after you take them. I am in love with my iPhone, I continue to learn new things everyday!

Daycation!

On Friday my husband and I took a little daycation to the Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. We are avid poker players and they have an amazing poker room! We started playing poker at around 7 and didn't quit until 5:30 in the morning! I could not believe how much time had gone by, guess the is why they don't have clocks in casinos! If you have never been and like casinos, then you should definitely check it out. It is beautiful.

There is also a hotel connected to the casino, and several great restaurants. 

When you walk into the Hollywood there is a beautiful ceiling mural of the world...

I don't usually play the slot machines but I got sucked in like a vortex on a Deal or No Deal game! I put 20 bucks in and took 55 out! I wasn't as lucky as the lady next to me who won $300 on a spin! Still I was happy! 

Although we had an awesome time and won a little money, the weather was AWFUL!

At home they were getting 5 inches of snow, in Lawrenceburg they got stuck with freezing rain. We woke up the next morning (with only 3 hours of sleep) and headed home thinking that the highways would be clear. We were wrong! They were still ice covered and slicker than snot. We saw several bad car accidents on the way home, making me very grateful we made it home safe, even if it did take a little longer. I am thinking we will be taking another trip for Valentines Day!!

25 Homemade Face Masks

I am always on the lookout for new face scrubs. I can't even begin to tell the amount I have spent on facial products. For the most part I have pretty clear skin but unfortunately I do have some really stubborn blackheads (nasty!) I ran across this on Pinterest and thought I would share. 25 DIY facial masks for 6 different skin types. I was pretty impressed with how easy they are to make! Clothes Hoarder

    One big goal of mine for 2012 is to be more organized! I decided I should start with my clothes. Not realizing the project at hand was going to take me 5 hours. I could not believe that amount of clothes I had. I have problem when it comes to throwing or giving clothes away. Most of the items in my closet were things I wore as a teenager and just couldn't part with. I would tell myself that I one day I fit into those size 0 jeans I wore when I was 16, my husband was laughing pretty hard at me as I tried on each piece to make sure it didn't fit. I had the hardest time letting go of these clothes!


 I felt like a crazy clothes hoarder, I mean who keeps 10 pairs of jeans that are 3 sizes too small and 7 years old?  Coming to terms that I was never going to wear over half these items made it much easier to discard them. I was even able to give several shirts, hats, and belts to my niece, at least I know she will take care of them! Most of the clothes I had were donated to some local needy families, and that also made me feel better! After hours of sorting, I got rid of 3 contractor size garbage bags full of clothes!! Both my dresser and closet can breathe a little easier in their new found space! 


Am I the only one who has this problem? I would love to know if anyone else has a similar issue!

I love decorating! I get super excited when I find something new for our home! I recently got the opportunity to work with Mohawk Home. I was very impressed with the durability of the rug, Since we spend the majority of our time in the living room, our rug has really had some traffic. Our 2 hyper active dogs are constantly playing and sleeping on the rug, they like to make messes which means I vacuum ALOT! I have yet to see any type of wear on our Mohawk Home rug.

It's A New Year!

We have official said goodbye to 2011, one of my better years. I got married, went to my first concert (Bob Seger), added a new member to our family (Krush), had a very good year with my job, and my husband switched career paths to pursue something he loves.

For the first year ever, I made some New Year resolutions. Here are a few:

1. This WILL be the year that I quit smoking for good!
2. I WILL focus more on my health, physical and mental.
3. My husband and I WILL go to Vegas!

Those are 3 of my 4 BIG resolutions. The 4th one is to compete and to finish The Tough Mudder competition, a grueling obstacle course created my the British Special Forces. This takes place in late October in Kentucky. Kain and I will start training for this next week. I don't care what place I finish in, I just really want to be able to finish. I am the most nonathletic person I have ever seen! Hopefully with hard work and determination, I will complete all 27 events!

2012 I embrace you with open arms! This is my year to be the best me I can be!
